25 Weeks - WOW Only 15 More Weeks Left (if that!!)

WEEK 25 | PRINCESS IS THE SIZE OF A HEAD OF CAULIFLOWER | 14.8 INCHES | 2.2 LBS

THIS WEEK..... Our little monkey's hair is growing in!! That is if she takes after me!! Jeff was born a baldy and I was born with a full head of hair. I'm hoping she has hair so I can style it from day 1! Apparently she knows what way is up and what way is down, that's kinda cool! Her nervous system is developing fast.

15 more weeks!!!

How far along? 25 Weeks 1 Day

Total weight gain or loss: 22 lbs

Maternity clothes? Yes absolutely. Can fit in my pre-preg sweats and some tops not pants. Those are LONG GONE!!

Stretch marks? On my boobs waaaaaaah!!! Just a couple on the underside. I guess they are growing more then I ever expected.

Sleep: Sucks d*ck!! Apparently it should only get worse so at least I have that going for me. I’m a belly sleeper so sleeping on my side is very challenging and after a while my hip that I’m laying on BURNS so then I switch sides, it’s a vicious cycle.

Best moment this week: Getting the sweetest card from Jeff and 3 dozen roses, 2 dozen for me and 1 dozen for our princess. He spoils his girls!!

Miss Anything? Wine & Sushi, cannot wait to order a spicy tuna roll!

Movement: Yes. It’s the most amazing feeling in this world. I literally do not care about anything going on when I feel her move. It’s like nothing else matters but her, our miracle growing inside my belly. Her movements are SO STRONG now, soon I think I will see her tiny body parts glide long my belly.

Food cravings: Pancakes & waffles.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing. Sometimes things people do gross me out. Coughing, hacking & that phlegm noise make my skin crawl……weird I know. So you can imagine with this weather and everyone getting sick how grossed out I am all day long….on the bus, at work, everywhere.

Symptoms: Sore boobs.

Belly Button in or out? In but flat.

Happy or Moody most of the time: So f@cking happy J

Looking forward to: Every day I feel my baby thriving inside of me. Every single day is a blessing to me. Counting the days until the third trimester….2 more weeks left of the second tri, it’s starting to fly!!

Valentine's Day - Missing My Papa Bear

Valentine's Day was really hard this year, because it was the first year in 35 years that I knew I would come home to no card from my Daddy. He was always so thoughtful and always sent cards for everything..... Valentine's Day was one that I loved. I have a card framed that my Dad gave me last year and I look at it every day. It's next to a photo of him on my night table.

I never imagined my world without him. Especially never imagined he would not be around to meet his first grandchild, hold her for the first time, carry her on his shoulders. I daydream about what it would have been like and how she would have been the apple of his eye...just like I was with my Grampa. He was a gentle giant! He would have been our baby girl's life size teddy bear. I'm still not comprehending all of it...I feel cheated. It wasn't his time to go and feel bad for him that he will miss all of these amazing moments. Hopefully he is looking down on us because I wouldn't want him to miss one minute.

I still find myself going to send him a text or a photo of my growing belly. He would have been over the moon!

24 Weeks - Our Little Cantaloupe

WEEK 24 | PRINCESS IS THE SIZE OF A CANTALOUPE | 11.8 INCHES | 20.8 OZ

Before Date Night With My One & Only!!

Trying to walk at least 2 times a week!!

I managed to catch our little bunny thumping around in my belly. She usually stops by the time I get my camera going. This time I just woke up and she was going crazy. Pay attention to the very beginning of the clip below to see her moving side to side.

THIS WEEK.....Baby Girl's lungs are developed but are not able to fully function outside of my belly just yet!! The fact that they are developed and almost there means we are THAT MUCH CLOSER to having her in our arms. Her skin is less see-through and more opaque and has a pink glow.

My belly has DEF gotten bigger. It feels tighter and the baby's movements are totally different now. It is less pokey in my belly and more of a slide along my belly.

How far along? 24 Weeks

Total weight gain or loss: 21 lbs

Maternity clothes? YES!

Stretch marks? On my poor big boobies L Just a few on the underside…no matter how much I lube up I guess it doesn’t make a difference!

Sleep: Starting to really suck.. I have been tossing and turning. I find myself waking up around 2, then 4:30, then 5 and then when I have to get up for the day.

Best moment this week: Seeing my belly move around like crazy!

Miss Anything? The usual….wine, sushi, deli meats and tea.

Movement: YES YES YES!!! It’s so amazing. She is a strong little bugger!!

Food cravings: Kale with garlic.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really.

Labor Signs: No.

Symptoms: Sore boobs.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Happy or Moody most of the time: So happy!!

Looking forward to: My appointment next wek so I get to her her little heart beating!

23 Weeks - Our (not so little) Grapefruit

WEEK 23 | PRINCESS IS THE SIZE OF A GRAPEFRUIT | 11.8 INCHES | 20.8 OZ

THIS WEEK.... princess monkey is around the size of a grapefruit. I am still having a hard time grasping this whole fruit size thing. Is she scrunched up and as big as a grapefruit or does she weigh as much as a grapefruit? I'm just not sure how she can go from being a banana in week 20 to a grapefruit in week 23.

She's between 10.5 to 11.8 inches long and weighs 12.7 to 20.8 ounces...I'm putting all my cards down on the higher side of both. Given the fact that at 20 weeks she was already 14 ounces! Her little ears are starting to develop and her face and eyes are forming. I can't wait to see who she looks like!! Little princess is aware of sounds now, she is listening to my voice, heartbeat, loud sounds and Sashi barking. They say that I may notice she will move if she gets startled by a sound or hears something familiar.

How far along? 23 Weeks 3 Days

Total weight gain or loss: 21 lbs

Maternity clothes? Yes! Any bottom that was pre-preg has been put away, some stretchy work-out pants fit but that's it. As far as tops, I'm def out growing my pre-preg tops, only a few long sweaters fit.

Stretch marks? I have w few on each boob (FML)...they just can't handle it! Still oiling up two to three times a day.

Sleep: Been EH lately. I wake up a ton, around 2, 3, 4 & 5.

Best moment this week: Someone actually offering their seat up for me on the subway!

Miss Anything? Wine & Margaritas

Movement: YES!! She is getting incredibly strong! I love it! Every time I feel her I fill up with love and rub my belly. I constantly try and figure out her positioning...she's all over the place!

Food cravings: Still juice. Craving kale over the past few days and salads.

Anything making you queasy or sick: The thought of certain meats.

Labor Signs: No.

Symptoms: Still sore boobs & an achy back. I started using my heating pad for my lower back, seems to work.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Effing happier then a pig in shit.

Looking forward to: Hitting the 24 week mark at the end of this week. It is yet another milestone. Not only will I be 6 months but that means 1 more month until the 3rd trimester. Also, god forbid we have a problem her chances of survival outside of me has increased after 24 weeks.
